Recognize Domestic Work as Work
Welcome to our campaign! Ufdwrs is a coalition of five regional/international organizations working towards the promotion and protection of foreign domestic workers' rights.
What is this campaign all about? The current kickstart campaign, One Paid Day Off Per Week, was launched in November 2007 to enable domestic workers a day off to pursue personal interests as well as address health and other concerns. This feeds into the greater purpose of recognizing domestic work as work by affording them a fundamental workers' right. Also download and print our Saya Migran comic on domestic workers rights
How can I join the campaign? Email your contact details to: ufdwr@hotmail.com You will be updated with information on new trends and emerging issues of foreign domestic workers as well as given updates on our campaign progression. Also see our facebook page - Ufdwr Campaign - and become a friend!
How can you assist the campaign? Spread the word!!!! You will also be asked to endorse statements issued by Ufdwrs, write appeal letters to relevant government agencies, and take up urgent action alerts.
